Search warrants were executed Thursday at Steubenville High School and the offices of the Steubenville Board of Education as part of the ongoing investigation into the rape of a teenage girl that was captured in social media posts, the Ohio Attorney General's Office said.
Two star high school football players, 17-year-old Trent Mays and 16-year-old Ma'lik Richmond, were found guilty in juvenile court of the sexual assault of the 16-year-old girl, who authorities say was intoxicated.
The court has sealed the findings of the search warrants, which came just days before a grand jury is scheduled to convene in the case.
The state attorney general called for a wider investigation into the case after the conviction of the two boys.
