Roadside bomb targeting passenger van kills 8, injures 10 in Pakistan

A roadside bomb explosion killed eight people and injured 10 more Saturday in the Pakistani town of Mattani, said Imran Shahid, a senior police official in Peshawar.

The bomb targeted a moving passenger van heading to a town located 30 kilometers, or almost 19 miles, south of Peshawar, Shahid said.

A number of shops were destroyed in the blast, said another Peshawar senior police official, Shafiullah Khan.
