A U.S. Secret Service spokesman said the agency was investigating how sensitive information that could be about Vice President Joe Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and first lady Michelle Obama ended up on the Internet.
"We will confirm the Secret Service is investigating the matter. We cannot comment further as it is an ongoing matter," spokesman Brian Leary said.
The FBI is also involved in an investigation, an agency offical told CNN.
The official said it's possible the information posted came from publicly available sources.
