- At least 13 militants are arrested in southwest Pakistan
Security forces killed six alleged militants and arrested 13 during an operation in southwestern Pakistan on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The forces launched a search operation after receiving information that Taliban militants had been spotted in the Zhob area in Balochistan province, said Hamid ul Karim, a senior administration official.
"Both sides used heavy weapons during exchange of fire," he said.
The clashes left two security forces injured.
Security forces recovered arms and ammunition from the militants, according to Karim.
The alleged militants are in custody and an investigation is under way.
