Baghdad (CNN) -- At least two people were killed and 16 wounded in a series of unrelated attacks in Iraq on Monday, officials said.
Several of the attacks involved roadside bombs and targeted security forces, an interior ministry official said. The official did not want his name disclosed because he is not authorized to speak to the media.
-- Two roadside bombs exploded near a restaurant in southeast Baghdad, wounding two civilians.
-- A car bomb went off in northeast Baghdad. It killed one civilian and wounded four other people.
-- Another roadside bomb in southwest Baghdad targeted a police patrol. It wounded one civilian and two police officers.
-- Unknown gunment killed a police officer in southwest Baghdad.
-- A roadside bomb in southeast Baghdad targeted a private security convoy. The blast wounded seven people.
