New Delhi, India (CNN) -- A Gulf Air plane skidded off a wet runway Monday in southern India, an airport spokesman said. One passenger suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized.
The plane, bound from Bahrain, had 137 passengers and six crew on board, authorities said.
It "slipped" while landing at the Cochin International Airport probably because the runway was "totally wet" from overnight rain, airport spokesman Vimal Nair said.
Airport authorities diverted a number of flights after the incident, which is being investigated.
