Blast at Pakistan bus station kills 5, injures 10

(CNN) -- Five people were killed and 10 others were injured in an explosion in northwest Pakistan on Monday, police said.

Muhammad Saleem Murrawat, the police chief of the Lower Dir district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, said the explosion took place at a bus station in the town of Munda.

Murrawat said the nature of the blast was not immediately clear.

Meanwhile, the death toll from an attack in central Pakistan's Punjab province on Sunday has reached 50, police said Monday. Nazar Muhammad, a police official in the Dera Ghazi Khan district, said the number of injured has topped 100.

The explosion took when a bomber blew himself up at a Sufi shrine. A second would-be suicide bomber wearing an explosives-laden jacket was arrested at the shrine, according to Ahmed Mubarak, police chief of the Dera Ghazi Khan district.
