(CNN) -- Heavy rains pounded northwestern Illinois early Thursday, prompting forecasters to issue flash flood warnings across the region.
The high water prompted about six water rescues overnight in Jo Daviess County, said Sgt. Mike Moser of the sheriff's office.
No serious injuries were reported, Moser said.
Some areas in the region had 7 to 10 inches of rain, according to the National Weather Service.
Flash flood warnings remain in effect for several counties in the region.
