(CNN) -- An Amtrak passenger train collided with a dump truck in North Berwick, Maine, on Monday morning, killing the truck driver and sparking a fire, transit officials said.
There were no initial reports of serious injuries among the 109 train passengers, Amtrak said.
The collision happened around 11 a.m., said Jamie Maynard, a dispatcher for Sanford Regional Communications.
Patricia Quinn of the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority said the Amtrak Downeaster #691 was the train involved.
Amtrak said the incident disrupted "Downeaster" service and that alternate transportation was being provided to train passengers.
