Obama to attend U.N. General Assembly

Washington (CNN) -- President Barack Obama will travel to New York this month to take part in the U.N. General Assembly, the White House announced Thursday.

The September 19-21 trip also will include meetings with visiting officials and a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative, according to the White House statement.
