Boot Camp camera guide: Cell phones

By Michael Saba, special to CNN

(CNN) -- They're the go-to cameras that are always around when you need them, and most cell phones made in the past five years are equipped with decent built-in recorders. Some modern smartphone lenses even range as high as eight megapixels, and many can take high-def video as well.

With most modern phones sporting Web access (not to mention the release of apps like iReport's own for Apple and Droid smartphones), you can e-mail and upload your pictures and video, anywhere and any time.

Verdict: Easy to use and portable, the cellphone camera is an all-in-one device that can turn anyone into a breaking-news journalist.
