(CNN) -- Four children, including two who were the subject of an Amber Alert out of Tennessee, were among seven found safe Tuesday along with their alleged abductor, police said.
Terry Nichols, 51, was found in Obion County, Tennessee, waiting for a bank to open, said Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder. He was sitting in a van with seven children: three from his previous marriage and the four others, Vastbinder said.
The children were unharmed, he said. Nichols was taken into custody.
Authorities had issued an Amber Alert for 3-year-old Jillieeann Calderon and 4-year-old James Brown in Obion County, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The bureau said Nichols was believed to have abducted them last week.
The bureau said Nichols was also suspected of abducting his 16-year-old niece, Ashley Burse, and her 3-month-old girl, Ava, from a Walmart in Kennett, Missouri. Nichols is the infant's biological father, Missouri officials said.
All the children were last seen Wednesday but weren't reported missing until Monday, authorities said.
Nichols had apparently driven back to Obion County from Mobile, Alabama, Vastbinder said.
