Investigators were looking for three suspects who may have been armed with an assault rifle, according to the Oakland Police Department.

Two of the injured remained hospitalized in critical condition, police said. Two others were hospitalized in stable condition, according to the department.

A second shooting was reported about a block away, police said, but it was unclear if the two incidents were related.
