California truck collision kills teenager, injures 3

(CNN) -- A girl was struck and killed by a pickup truck Wednesday morning near Sacramento, California, police said.

Three other teenage girls in the group on their way to school were injured during the crash, including one critically, according to Ceres Police spokesman Jose Berber.

The collision with a full-sized Chevy truck occurred near Mae Hensley Junior High School.

The 46-year-old driver is being cooperative, Berber said, and went voluntarily to the Ceres, California, Police Department to report the incident.
