Caracas, Venezuela (CNN) -- At least 13 people were killed and at least 13 others were injured when a fuel tanker overturned and caught fire on a Venezuelan highway Thursday, state media reported.
A public bus and at least one car were set ablaze after the fuel truck flipped Thursday afternoon on a busy roadway in Caracas, state-run VTV reported.
CNN affiliate Globovision showed firefighters shooting streams of water at bright orange flames.
President Hugo Chavez expressed his sympathies to victims' family in a Twitter post and sent wishes for a swift recovery to the injured.
