Flight aborted by blown tires

(CNN) -- A Southwest Airlines flight leaving for Seattle blew some main gear tires at California's Sacramento International Airport on Tuesday, forcing the crew to abort the flight and deplane passengers, according to an FAA spokesman.

The incident involving Southwest Flight 2287 also forced the temporary closing of the runway, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said.

No other details were immediately available.
