4 civilians killed in northern Afghanistan blast

Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- An explosion in Afghanistan's northern Balkh province Tuesday killed four civilians, police said.

The blast took place in central Mazar-e Sharif, the provincial capital, police official Lal Mohammad Ahmadzai said.

Four others were injured, Ahmadzai said.
