(CNN) -- A Georgia pediatrician was arrested Thursday and charged in federal court with possession and receipt of child pornography, the FBI announced.

Yancy Craft, also known as Travis Mobley, was taken into custody by FBI agents in Columbus, Georgia, a city about 110 miles southwest of Atlanta. He'd moved there from Memphis, Tennessee, the federal agency said.

The investigation began in Tennessee, where Craft, 41, first became known by "undercover officers on the Internet (involved in) an interstate child pornography investigation," said the FBI.

The probe was then moved to Georgia "when it was learned that Craft, a pediatrician, had relocated to that area for an imminent job placement," the FBI said.

Craft could not immediately be reached for comment, and it could not be determined whether he had retained an attorney.
