(CNN) -- [Updated 4 p.m. Monday, November 28] A man passes by the Cais do Sodre train station Thursday in Lisbon, Portugal.

Much of the country's transportation system has shut down as a result of a general strike. All international flights to and from Portugal were canceled Thursday, and train and bus services have also been cut back or eliminated.

Union workers are protesting the government's tough austerity measures.

Portugal, like Greece and Ireland, needed a bailout from the European Union. To receive the funds, however, the government has proposed a combination of tax hikes and deep cuts to public services. Two of the country's main unions called a strike last month to protest the proposal.

If you think you know the answer -- or if you just want to take a wild guess -- post it in the comments area below. Later in the day, we'll reveal where the photo was taken and give credit to those who figured it out first. (The more detail, the better!)

Each Monday morning, we'll post a new photo and challenge you to tell us its origin. The photo might be related to a prominent news story or theme -- or it might just be something that caught our eye.

Good luck!
