- "I had people bringing me food and shoving it in my face, saying 'Eat, Taylor!' " he says
Taylor Lautner tries to stay away from reading about himself online, but his efforts are rarely successful.
"It's tough because sometimes you'll just be on the Web and things pop up or you get emailed something from a friend," the "Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" actor, 19, tells PARADE. "It's definitely impossible to avoid stuff about me sometimes, but it's pretty important to try."
Most importantly, he dislikes seeing things written about himself because they are usually false.
"It's very rare that things are true about yourself that are on the Internet," he says. "It's just sad sometimes. So you definitely want to stay away from it as much as possible."
One thing that hasn't been exaggerated about Lautner is the key to his stellar abs. The teen star says getting his buff bod took just as much work as it looks like it did.
"I had people bringing me food and shoving it in my face, saying 'Eat, Taylor!' " he explains. "They sort of had to force me. Then I had to get my butt in the gym and that's difficult because we were filming 12 to 15-hour days."
It comes as no surprise, but as soon as Lautner wrapped his final shirtless scene, he had a "huge celebration."
"I went out and had desert for the first time in a while," he says. "And I took a few days off from the gym."
