Tennessee police are vigorously searching for a woman who has been missing for five days.
Karen Swift, 44, was last seen at her home early Sunday morning around 1:30, according to a statement from the Dyer County Sheriff's Office. Her car, a 2004 white Nissan Murano, was recovered on a main highway in northern Dyer County with a flat tire, according to police.
Friends have told CNN affiliate WMC that Swift, a mother of four, had just returned home from a Halloween party. Authorities are investigating information provided by family members, including Swift's husband and children, who have fully cooperated in the case, Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box said Friday in a statement.
A massive search effort, including ground and aerial searches, is under way, Box said.
