A bridge collapse in India's tea-producing region of Darjeeling has left at least 34 people dead, officials said.
Another 102 people were injured, said Debabrata Pal of West Bengal state disaster management.
The collapse took place Saturday, when people had assembled on a bridge for a public meeting, Pal said. One end of the bridge caved in, plunging into the river below.
