An Amtrak train crashed into a tractor-trailer in northern California on Friday evening, causing minor injuries to some passengers, authorities said.
The train was headed from Oakland to Bakersfield when the collision occurred, said Vernae Graham, an Amtrak spokeswoman.
The incident took place at about 7:30 p.m. just east of Antioch.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and the train did not derail, officials said.
