(CNN) -- A lieutenant colonel in Rio de Janeiro's military police was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with the killing of a judge last month, the state-run Agencia Brasil news agency reported, citing military police.
Claudio Oliveira was also relieved of his duties as commander of the 22nd Battalion of the military police in northern Rio, the agency reported.
He is a suspect of ordering the assassination of judge Patricia Aciolo, who was gunned down in front of her home, the military police said. At the time of the killing, Oliveira commanded the 7th Battalion of the police.
Three other military policemen suspected of involvement in the killing were also arrested, Agencia Brasil reported.
