- Charlotte, N.C., police say youth called them twice
- Father, stepmother found dead of apparent gunshot wounds
- Teen charged with murder, armed robbery
Police say a 15-year-old youth is the prime suspect in the deaths of his father and stepmother.
The victims have been identified as Christian Hans Liewald, 43, and his wife, 24-year-old Cassie Meghan Buckaloo. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are not releasing a motive.
The teen called police twice after the murders, police said. The first time, at about 2 a.m. Monday, the suspect said he needed the police but refused to give details. Then the suspect called 911 again and said he had shot his dad and his stepmom and that he would be waiting for police on a nearby street, according to police.
Police are not releasing the teen's name due to his being a juvenile.
Officers went to the home and found a man and woman, both dead from apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives began searching the neighborhood for possible witnesses.
The suspect has been charged with murder, in addition to armed robbery and attempted auto theft. Police would not discuss any other case details.
