Mortars wound 7 near Baghdad's Green Zone

Baghdad, Iraq (CNN) -- Two mortar rounds wounded seven security guards Wednesday in a compound used by Iraqi officials, Iraqi Interior Ministry officials said.

The mortars landed in Wizara, where Iraqi government ministers and lawmakers live.

The area is near the heavily fortified Green Zone that houses Iraqi government offices, and the U.S. and British embassies.
