Jerusalem (CNN) -- Four Palestinians were injured, one critically, in a skirmish with Israeli soldiers in Gaza on Tuesday night, Palestinian security and medical sources said.
The four were involved in firing a rocket-propelled grenade from central Gaza toward soldiers on the Israeli side of the border, the sources said. They were hurt when the soldiers fired back with tank shells, the sources said.
An Israeli army spokesman confirmed that Palestinian men fired the grenade toward the troops, who returned fire and hit the people.
