Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Three suspected militants were killed when a suspected U.S. drone fired four missiles on two vehicles in Pakistan's tribal region, Pakistan intelligence officials told CNN Friday.

Two intelligence officials say the missiles were fired on the suspected militants' vehicles in Kurram Agency, one of the seven districts of Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

It was not immediately clear exactly when the drone strikes occurred.

The intelligence officials asked not to be named because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
