(CNN) -- In focus -- Rawabi planned city

Rawabi is an ambitious project to create the Palestinian territory's first ever planned city.

The $700 million city is the brainchild of local businessman, Bashar al-Masri.

Built near Ramallah, along with Qatari Diar and other investors, the first homes are set to be ready within two and half years. MME goes on a tour of the site.

It's Bahrain sovereign wealth fund. Mumtalakat, the government's investment arm, was established in 2006.
