(CNN) -- The West Nile virus has killed three people in Romania, the Romanian Health Ministry said Monday.
A 64-year-old man who also had diabetes, hypertension and heart disease became the third person to die, the ministry said.
Thirty-four people have been infected, according to the National Centre for Surveillance and Control of Diseases.
An outbreak of West Nile virus in Greece recently killed at least 15 people and sickened 158 others, health officials in that country said.
