At least 11 dead in Turkey landslide, news agency reports

(CNN) -- The death toll from a Thursday night landslide in northeastern Turkey has increased to 11, the semi-official Anadolu Ajansi news service said Friday.

The landslides and heavy flooding damaged several houses and a school in the hamlet of Gundogdu in Rize province, Anadolu Ajansi said.

The death toll rose to 11 when rescue crews pulled three bodies from the debris of two collapsed homes, the news agency said.
