Earthquake strikes Greek island of Crete

(CNN) -- A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Greek Island of Crete on Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was between the city of Chania and Iraklion, 220 miles (354 km) from the capital of Athens.

The quake rattled the island at 7:06 a.m. local time. No damage has been reported so far.
