(CNN) -- Strong winds and stormy weather left at least seven people dead in the Leningrad region of north Russia, the state-run RIA-Novosti news agency reported Friday.
The storms injured 14 people, the news agency reported. It cited emergency officials.
Storms also caused traffic problems and power loss in the region.
The bad weather is expected to continue, meteorologists told the news agency, and was forecast to move to the western part of the region by Friday evening.
