Bomb explodes under car in Northern Ireland


London, England (CNN) -- A bomb exploded under a car in Northern Ireland Friday, wounding a man who was inside, police said.

Police received a report of the incident at 6:37 a.m. (1:37 a.m. ET), the Police Service of Northern Ireland said.

The condition of the man was not known, though police said they believe it to be serious.

Army bomb disposal experts were at the scene, police said.

The bombing happened on a road in Randalstown in County Antrim, on the northeast coast.
