MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- The death toll from last month's Russian nightclub inferno rose to 154, state-run media reported Saturday.
A woman became the latest fatality when she died at a Moscow hospital, according to the RIA Novosti news agency. It did not say when she died from injuries sustained in the December 5 fire, in the industrial city of Perm in the Ural Mountains region.
Sixty-one people continued to undergo treatment in hospitals in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm and other cities, officials said, according to RIA Novosti. Victims suffered extensive burns and severe respiratory injuries, doctors said.
Hundreds of revelers had gathered at the Lame Horse nightclub in December when an indoor fireworks display went awry. Smoke spread rapidly, causing panic, officials said.
