Official: 31 killed, 62 injured in Pakistan blast

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- A blast at a food distribution point in Pakistan killed 31 people and injured 62 others on Saturday, a senior government official said.

The nature of the blast in the town of Khar is not yet known, said Sohail Khan of Bajaur Agency.

The town Khar is the headquarters of Bajaur Agency, one of the seven districts of Pakistan's tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
