Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- A mistaken airstrike in Afghanistan by NATO-led coalition forces killed four members of the Afghan National Army, a local official said Thursday.
The airstrike was in the Musa Qala district in Helmand province Wednesday, said Daud Ahmadi, a spokesman for the provincial governor.
A spokesman for NATO's International Security Assistance Forces confirmed that there was an airstrike in the area and that they received reports that four Afghan soldier were mistakenly killed.
ISAF were investigating those reports, the spokesman said.
