Russia's president meets with Chinese leader

(CNN) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with Chinese President Hu Jintao on Monday on the second day of his three-day visit to China, state media reported.

The Chinese state-run Xinhua news agency said Medvedev arrived in northeast China's port city of Dalian Sunday.

It is Medvedev's second state visit to the country since he assumed the presidency in May 2008, Xinhua said.

On Sunday, he met with provincial leaders.

Later Monday, Medvedev is expected to travel to Shanghai, meet with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping and attend the World Expo, Xinhua reported.
