State media: Russia's president arrives in China

(CNN) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev arrived in China Sunday for a three-day visit that will include talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, state media reported.

The Chinese state-run Xinhua news agency said Medvedev arrived in northeast China's port city of Dalian Sunday.

It is Medvedev's second state visit to the country since he assumed the presidency in May 2008, Xinhua said.

On Sunday, he is scheduled to meet with provincial leaders, veteran Chinese and Russian soldiers and Russian language professors and students.

On Monday, he is scheduled to visit Beijing and hold talks with Hu. Later that day, he will travel to Shanghai, meet with Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping and attend the World Expo, Xinhua reported.
