(CNN) -- Three NATO service members died Friday after bombings in various parts of Afghanistan.
In one attack, two service members were killed by a roadside bomb in the eastern part of the country, the International Security Assistance Force said.
A third one died in a bomb attack in southern Afghanistan.
The NATO force defers identification of casualties to respective national authorities.
The international alliance was formed under a U.N. mandate to bolster a secure environment and support the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
NATO took command in 2003. It comprises troops from more than 40 countries, according to the organization.
