Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) -- Two bombs placed in wooden carts went off in southern Afghanistan on Sunday, killing three civilians, officials said.
The explosions took place in Lashkargah in Helmand province.
The first blast occurred in front of a bank; the other, outside a high school, said Daud Ahmadi, the spokesman of the province's governor.
In addition to the three civilians killed, 20 others were wounded, Ahmadi said.
A third bomb was found but it was dismantled by authorities before it exploded.
