Havana, Cuba (CNN) -- Cuba has replaced its health minister, Communist Party stalwart Jose Ramon Balaguer, recognizing his good work but offering no details for the change.
Balaguer will be replaced by Roberto Morales Ojeda, currently first deputy health minister, according to a note published in state newspapers Friday.
Balaguer will resume his work in the Party's Central Committee, the note said. The 78-year-old was a founding member of Cuba's Communist Party and was made health minister in 2004.
