State Department's Holbrooke hospitalized

Washington (CNN) -- Richard Holbrooke, the administration's special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan, was hospitalized Friday morning after feeling ill, a State Department spokesman said.

P.J. Crowley told reporters that Holbrooke was being evaluated.

Holbrooke is a career diplomat best known for brokering the peace agreement between Bosnian factions in 1995 that became the Dayton accords.
