Several injured in Missouri school bus wreck

(CNN) -- Five elementary school students and their bus driver were hurt when a school bus and a sport-utility vehicle collided Thursday west of St. Louis, Missouri, authorities said.

Ambulances took all five children to a hospital, but none of them were seriously injured, according to a statement from the Rockwood School District. The bus driver's condition was not immediately known, the district said.

The wreck happened around 8:15 a.m., when the bus collided with an SUV about two miles south of Eureka, Missouri, on Highway FF, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the SUV is in serious condition, the school district said.
