(CNN) -- A high-pressure water pipe exploded at the University of Utah campus Monday, injuring seven construction workers, two of them critically, according to a Salt Lake City fire official.
Hot steam and water spewed into an underground vault on university grounds where the group was working, said city fire Capt. Mike Harp.
All seven workers were rushed to the University of Utah hospital, he said.
Details of the cause of the accident were not immediately available.
