(CNN) -- Weather conditions are finally working in favor of firefighters battling a large wildfire in Elsinore, Utah, according to fire officials.
Light rain and high humidity slowed the spread of the fire Sunday, allowing crews to make progress, said Annette Grijalva-Disert, incident information officer for the Twitchell Canyon fire.
Lightning is blamed for the blaze, which began July 20, according the to fire officials.
It has burned close to 45,000 acres, but is now 65 percent contained, officials said.
