(CNN) -- Three people were injured after two marine vessels collided on the Mississippi River in Tennessee, the U.S Coast Guard told CNN Tuesday.
It was not exactly clear what kinds of vessels were involved in the incident that took place near Covington in Tipton County late Monday night. One was a barge and the other a type of river vessel.
All three people were exposed to at least one hazardous chemical leaking from a vessel, said Robert Hill of the Coast Guard in Memphis.
The leaking vessel has been "isolated," Hill said, and the injured taken to a hospital.
