Massachusetts state Rep. Robert Nyman was found dead in his pool Friday night, police in Hanover said Saturday. No foul play is suspected in the death.
According to police, Nyman, 49, had left his home late morning Friday to help plan an upcoming charity tournament at a local golf course. He returned home and went back to the golf course around 1 p.m.
His body, clad in a collared shirt and shorts, was discovered by his family at 8:30 p.m., police said. Neighbors attempted CPR until rescuers arrived. He was pronounced dead at South Shore Hospital.
An autopsy will be conducted, police said.
Nyman had served in the state house since 1998.
