(CNN) -- Pressurization problems caused a Boeing 747 passenger jet to make an emergency landing Friday night in San Antonio, Texas, a Federal Aviation Authority spokesman said.
Continental Airlines Flight 1491 was on its way to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, from Houston, Texas, when it was diverted, FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said.
Continental spokeswoman Julie King said the plane landed without incident in San Antonio at 6:34 p.m. ET.
Lunsford said authorities called emergency crews after passengers complained about feeling ill. King said she did not know whether any passengers were ill, but it's standard procedure for emergency crews to meet a diverted plane.
Passengers are scheduled to continue their flight on a different plane leaving at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, King said, and will stay in a hotel overnight.
