(CNN) -- Authorities shut down part of a highway in southern Arizona Friday because of a suspicious vehicle, state authorities said.
Authorities closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 19 in the border city of Nogales, Arizona because of the suspicious vehicle, said Officer Quentin Mehr of the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
Mehr would not say why the vehicle was believed to be suspicious or what type of vehicle it was.
Southbound lanes were still open, Mehr said.
CNN-affiliate KGUN reported that a bomb squad had arrived at the scene.
